Some "teasers" I've read about the upcoming "T2X" Escalade's.

1) The N/A 6.2L is still there, most likely with minimal bumps in power and torque, But I have also read of either turbo charged V8's somewhere in the mix (not sure where in the hierarchy vs. the N/A 6.2L), OR strong rumors of "detuned" version of the CTS-V's supercharged 6.2L LT4.

2) 10 speed automatic

3) As I eluded to before in a prior post, IRS. Roll-out has been delayed by 6 months or so because of 1) Approval from GM brass (technically it was on the table with the K2Y's, but due to Bankruptcy, GM put it on the back burner) and 2) to let engineers get it to work. This will most likely be standard on Escalade's, but not sure if lesser Tahoe's/Suburban's/Yukon's will get it standard, or if it will be an optional RPO.

I don't think GM and Cadillac have anything to be worried about!

Yea I dont think the H1's count. And Whatever the suburban sized one is. The Lexus doesnt have the axle overhang on the rear that the burban has.

The biggest complaints against the GM trifecta when compared to the ford enemy is

1) Ride quality
2) 3rd seat legroom

Both of which are addressed by IRS.

Anyway;
Expedition EL: 221"L x 79" W x 78" H has IRS
Chevy Suburban: 224"L x 81" W x 74" H has solid rear axle

what's the size of the coils have to do with anything at all?

you said you didn't think an IRS could be "big enough" for a burban... i posted other examples of heavier vehicles with IRS...

and what does tow rating have to do with anything

h1 alpha- 9k lbs.

qx80- 8500lbs

2017 suburban 6300 lbs.
