Read up on the owners manual for service intervals. It may suggest replacing filter every other oil change and scan over the receipt for any service notes/part replacements.

The picture you posted does look like fresher oil but an existing filter may cause that tint.

It's done every 5k. This was the last one under the service agreement

Hmm..... suppose to wait 10k miles before the first oil change on a new Toyota. I couldn’t do it but it’s what they recommend.

That almost looks like atf. Is the trans cooler incorporated into the radiator? Only way I can imagine it getting in engine oil.

The sticker in the truck said 5000 miles. We bought it with like 85 miles. Been going every 5k, that's what Toyota tells us also get the reminders in the mail.

It's def engine oil, but unsure if they changed it. I'm looking at the oil filter tomorrow to see if I can tell. But there is no way this is 100 mile oil on a 26k mile engine

Yes. This is a brand new engine. The oil should be clear for at least 1k miles. Unless it's a weird dyed oil.

The oil in my super duty with 220k is cleaner than this after 1k miles...

The cap is to show build up of possibly too much moisture, as in maybe this engine is having an issue?
