Ok, I tried looking in this section but did not see any threads devoted to our favorite brand of pick-em-up trucks, the Chevrolet Silverado. So I am making one devoted to the upcoming, new Silverado for 2019.

Expect it to be code named T2XX (most likely).

These are some more recent spy shots. I think C&D had some back in February but even more camo'd. Here you can see grill and headlights behind the wrap, a body charactor line along the side, yada, yada.

1) Perhaps

2) Aluminum or composites in the body (roof, doors, hood, fenders, back of the cab), which everyone in the industry, including GM has been doing for years, NOT in the bed. The bed will remain HSS (High Strength Steel).

3) That is most likely a base engine to meet C.A.F.E. requirements as it'll be most likely used in the volume sales. A diesel and tried and true small block V8 are still there.

For the 200th time... GM ripped ford for using aluminum in their TRUCK BED!!!!! Not the body!

The truck bed of the next Silverado will be, just as it is NOW, HIGH STRENGTH STEEL!

Making bodies out of aluminum or other form of "composites" isn't anything new that hasn't been done in the automotive industry! GM has been doing it for awhile in many vehicles/trucks, so they aren't behind anything! But their truck bed is still STEEL.

So only half the truck will rust out. Nice!
