Let's talk led bed lighting

Colorado isn’t big on street lights and there are multiple times I need to load up either early morning or after sunset and it’s so dark I can’t even see my bike rack.


Anybody ever add any lighting to their bed? I’d even be cool with something battery powered if it’s water proof.

The gmt900 you have to push the dome light button and then twist it. It’s annoying. If it came on when you unlocked it wouldn’t be as bad. I’d rather walk/ride up to my truck, throw my bike and stuff in the bed then get in.

I used a generic bed light set off eBay and ran a separate power from the battery and added a toggle switch right where the tailgate goes down. The plastic knockout I drilled a hole in it and added the switch.

Seems like the best idea. Found some cheap kits worth experimenting with. I even saw some people just grabbing power from the trailer wiring.

i bought this for garage use, and now actually have it mounted ( magnet ) to the top of my cabinet in the garage.
put out good lighting.
