Just joking around here, but the use is something real, even if not feasible.

Vantablack. It absorbs 99.965% of visible light. I'd imagine that a Laser speed gun would basically get no return whatsoever. So with hidden/pop-up headlights, and no front plate your would effectively become invisible to laser.

There's a youtube vid out there where they used a black C5 with the lights down and the C5 had to be about a half mile closer for them to get a laser bead on it compared to other cars.
