Agreed, a V8 swap isn't being a "pioneer" in most cases. Dropping one in a Ferrari isn't a typical path, though. There are pioneers who haven't always been regarded as successful, of course. Some might scream "sacrilege!" while others might give a nod of approval.

I'm more fond of this than a 100% restored car that just sits in a museum.

It was probably way to much to get the right engine . If the car still has a good body and original parts it should still be worth some good money . Skip to 7:40 if you just want to see his car hauler .
