Well 63k far from "nobody" to me but it is surprising to see a 30% slump in the 3er. I wonder how much of that has to do with mixing more lux and less sport into the design.

The Miata I don't get, wasn't it supposed to rekindle the fire with the diehard Miata fans? They seem like a real riot but when I looked at the sticker on the one I drove, it really had me scratching my head. It was expensive.

And for some of those cars with the really minuscule numbers, what were the target sales for those models in the US? It's kinda hard to judge the floppiness of the vehicle if you don't know whether or not the manufacturer even intended on (or cared that) more would sell.

I disagree.

Maybe @Bru can chime in. Selling almost 50k cars less (rounding up a bit) seems like a sizeable drop.

Well it was a huge decline 37% for BMW 3 series and 31% for Fiesta. The subject that no one bought them does not seem to fit. Yes huge decline of course. I'm curious if car sales were down in general in 2016 also.

A good portion of the vehicles on the list are specialty cars anyway, usually they will not impress numbers wise in sales. That Golf as mook said is way over priced, the GTR, the viper, the Chevy SS, the i3 all I would consider as low volume producers. Some that would have already been forecasted as low numbers by their respective name badges

I bet the headline was changed by the content editor or copy desk to make it more interesting, though slightly misleading. The intro adds a context to the list, and by that criteria I think it fits. People should be buying more 3 Series. It's fantastic. My in-laws just bought a new 320 xDrive for $8k off retail price.

"We've combed the sales data through the end of November to find the cars that you aren't buying, but really should."

More than the 3 Series inclusion, them calling the Fiesta "great" is 100x more offensive.
