Oh wait.

But the F-series variant of the Coyote makes 395hp while the 6.2 Boss engine makes 385hp, both at 5,750rpm, quite different compared to GM's 6.2 making 420 and the 6.0 taking a 60hp peak hit at roughly the same rpm. At least the Boss 6.2 adds 30lb-ft in the Super Duty over the 5.0 whereas the 6.0 takes another loss at 380 @ 4,200 compared to the GM 6.2's 460 at 100 less rpm.

So in the F-series you give up 10hp for 30/lb-ft and what's likely a fatter curve given the 1.2L of extra displacement whereas in GM land you take a hit on both numbers because fuck you, we're GM and you're still gonna buy it

F-150 5.0: 395hp/400tq
Super Duty 6.2 385hp/430tq

1500 GM 6.2: 420hp/460tq
2500/3500 GM 6.0: 360hp/380tq

So while you don't get Ford's "Performance Car Engine", the Super Duty doesn't take a massive power hit. It traded some hp for more torque.

Clearer?

But what about that 6.6-liter turbodiesel V-8 with 445 hp and 910 lb-ft

Then you'd be completely ignoring the half-ton junk because you want a diesel. So you'd just be comparing to the 6.7 PowerStroke with 450hp and 935 lb-ft

3500HD's come with the 6.0 standard. I'm missing your point

I always thought who the fuck needs a leather heated steering wheel.

Then I drove my parents new Pacifica home with a heated steering wheel.

My next car must have this now.

I cannot stand the wheel's controls. It's seriously so offensive (to me and I'm paying for the damn thing) that I won't buy a GM truck for that single reason.

ROFL! I just think the buttons are atrocious. They remind me of crappy electronic devices from when I was a child. Seems there MUST be a better answer. Also, cannot stand how the text rubs off GM buttons either.
