Whos getting their cars ready for the season?

I dropped the Evo off at R&D last night for some (non power) items. Battery relocation, wiring and vac line redo, having my trans pulled again as I feel like I may have damaged something last time I broke the clutch so I want to be 100% sure for the season....other misc shit.

What about you guys?

Trans is operating fine but it doesnt engage as smooth as it did prior to me fucking up the clutch twice  So to be safe, Im just having them pull it for a full inspection. Id rather spend the money now then have something happen at the 1/2. More just being paranoid.

Changing some things around this year especially for the half mile event.....

Last year I was very pleased with my runs. I did a best of 144MPH This was achieved on a stock gear stock trans LS1 starting from around 30-40. I am looking to change to a power adder this year, beef up the engine and transmission mounts, and a little weight reduction here and there.

I will be shooting for the 160MPH mark this year.

We talking nitrous as a power adder?

Yes sir. Its time to start throwing some serious power at it. I have been generally pleased with the car to date.

My only dilemma is having a gear in the car where I can run the half mile event as well as perform at the drag strip. I can't just throw a 4:10 in the car and expect to make it down the half mile.

I want to go single digits this year at the track, but I also really enjoy the half mile events so I may make some sacrifices and go more towards the half mile than the 1/4.

Need to get my 427 stuffed between the fenders this spring and get my shitbox out on the road again.... Been sitting too long, the engine swap ended up being more expensive then I planned (isn't it always) and then having to get shit done around the house at the same time really slowed things down.

Got everything off the front end in fall so I can reroute all the wiring behind the dash so when I get the car repainted next year I can smooth the engine bay as well.....

Been rewiring the main harness since most of it is no longer being used:

Finally got the new EFI setup ordered and delivered:

Got the new radio bezel for the new standalone gauges (YES I know my radio was the shit in 1998, but the money is going elsewhere at the moment)

All just to stuff this between the fenders:

Then I'm trying to decide on a trans, and will likely end up with a T56 which will be another 4k hit to the budget..... Wish I could leave the thing stock, but when my Escape comes with more HP than it had stock it's just not happening. :bowrofl:
