I just pieced together a brake package for the TA that cost $100 less than a vendor who sells the same package discounted, and significantly less than retail, which is of course hugely inflated. Each piece is coming from a different vendor and arriving staggered, but there's still a month or two before the car comes out anyway. And 3/4 of the parts will be here Monday with free shipping from prime

Amazon:
Hawk Performance HUS8664 Quiet Slot Brake Rotor (Front) $128.70
Hawk Performance HUS8265 Quiet Slot Brake Rotor (Rear) $109.62
Hawk Performance HB250B.653 HPS 5.0 Disc Brake Pad (Front) $90.98
Hawk Performance HB249B.575 HPS 5.0 Disc Brake Pad (Rear) $83.14

Total: $412.44

Vendor: $525

Retail: $786.30

Seriously. All the brake parts I just bought for my GTO (minus the calipers) I got on amazon. I found the rotors I got decently cheaper on another website, but the shipping amount was just off the charts insane. So even tho they were "more expensive" on amazon, with no tax and free shipping I still saved like 50 bucks over the "other guy" Amazon rocks.

I wouldn't be surprised if they expanded into an AmazonBasics line of auto parts. Air filters, plug wires, fuel filters. I'm sure they'd be made by the major parts makers but available dirt cheap without the marketing spend that's associated with a name brand product.
