all of that has been known for quite some time there are multiple correction factors that can be fudged but the primary thing is that most dinos are inertia and not true brake dynos (eddy current/hydraulic brake).
It's not the same loading, but because the load is known you are able to calculate the power output.
it is not the best indicator of tune to get the max out of the car at the track.
it's one of the reasons why I really want to use the half mile event as our Dyno.

I've always considered you intelligent in the automotive side and you never fail me. LoL

But there are some people that live by the dyno numbers but can't make it work in the real world. That's why i shared this.

Ofcourse you can play the numbers. Ever see a Dyno operator put in a weight you know is incorrect?
