Jaguar F-Type SVR Will Hit 200 MPH For $126,000

We’ve been expecting greatness since we first heard about the 575 horsepower Jaguar F-Type SVR that’s coming in 2016. Now it sounds like our faith will be justified; the car supercharged V8 AWD car will hit 200 MPH.
Outside the SVR gets a little aero kit and 110 pounds of weigh savings over the peasant-spec F-Type R if you option the carbon fiber accessories, roof and Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) which saves 46 pounds of unsprung mass on its own.
Those brakes are 398mm and 380mm discs with and six and four-piston monobloc calipers front and rear respectively. Jaguar assures us that translates to “outstanding fade resistance” and “consistent pedal feel.”
The SVR also gets its own unique Inconel titanium exhaust system, which Jaguar promises “even more purposeful, harder-edged sound” and 35 pounds of weigh savings. If eardrums could salivate, my shoulders would be soaked.
Inconel titanium can handle higher temperatures than the standard F-Type’s stainless steel, so Jaguar could make the SVR’s exhaust pipe thinner and save 35 pounds.
The SVR’s pipe will also get a unique “split” muffler to fit in with the back of the special car’s body kit.
Pretty damn impressive for the price tag as an alternative to the Viper or Z06 Vette and GTR in the same ballpark for price.
