It uses the Eldorado's stock Northstar V8, which makes 275 horsepower, to drive the front wheels and a 300 horsepower V8 from the Eldorado Touring Coupe to drive the rear wheels. Each has its own separate ignition and automatic gearbox, operating independently of one another.

Yep, that means shifting isn't synced between the two motors, though Car & Driver's review says it doesn't feel as weird as it sounds. C&D recorded a five-second zero to 60 run and the TwinStar pulled 0.83g on the skidpad. Impressive figures given its curb weight of 4780 lbs.

Surprisingly, the TwinStar's handling is said to be well-balanced. Not surprising is the TwinStar's fuel consumption, observed at 10 mpg.

there was widely rumored to be a short star vehicle using the newer Aurora chassis the dual overhead cam v6 front and rear.
this car and the legend of Harry Hurst olds are some of our original idols from when we first started to build the 442 when we got a free Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo and a really awesome really dumb idea

it will be even more with it after this admittedly long "clean sheet" build.

im patient enough to keep working away at it till its done....then we'll see how close to a 3200lbs we got it.

weirdly, this may be true.
If I have a bunch of money I can just go an buy an R8 right now.
The twin engine olds I would have to have built for me, and it would take a long time and still be very unique.

in the end I think the r8 would have a higher value though.
