Saw the video below today and thought about all the stuff tuners are able to do with the new ECU and hardware in these cars. A couple tuners just released "flex fuel" type tuning for the 2015+ Mustang. Ford doesn't use the flex fuel sensor like the GM cars do. So tuners were able to figure out maps to use the air fuel ratio, knock sensors and such to make this happen. Just like Ford uses with the F150. Even though the maps and strategy the Mustang uses. I guess you can say the F150 gave them a map to lead the way.
Now Lund Racing is "Progressive Power Control" by offering kind of a boost by gear. He seems to be limiting the throttle angle by gear/mph. Stuff like this was not able to be done before with cable controlled throttle bodies. Nice when a tune can offer all these additional features with out the car owner having to spend more money on parts. Whipple is offering something similar with their "Guardian" tune. I am sure other tuners will do the same.
Just kind of cool to see what they come up with every now and then.
