Poll added. From this list, which would you buy?

Hyundai Veloster Turbo
If you go for the Rally Edition, the Hyundai Veloster Turbo is a quick little car. In base form, it's not a particularly hot hatch, but the Rally Edition is pretty darn good. With an even sportier suspension than the R-Spec, it's significantly more enjoyable to drive than the base version.

John Cooper Works Mini
Even in base form, the Mini Cooper is pretty fun. If you want to have the most fun, you go for the John Cooper Works version. It's both the most powerful and the fastest car Mini has ever built. Other than the GTI, it's also probably the most grown up of all the cars on this list.

VW GTI
On paper, the Volkswagen Golf R looks like it would be much better than the GTI. Its more powerful, more aggressively-tuned, and it's all-wheel drive. Then again, the GTI is is enough fun, you might not think you need to spend the extra money to get the R.

Mazda3

Sadly, Mazda has held off on a new version of the Mazdaspeed3, but even without hot-hatch power, the Mazda3 is a drivers car. It's engaging in a way competitors like the Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Corolla arent, and it can even hold its own against cars like the Audi A3.

Fiat 500 Abarth
If youre looking for pure speed, the Fiat 500 Abarth probably isnt for you. If you want a small city car that will make mundane drives enjoyable, give the Abarth a look. Its a different kind of fun than some of its competitors, but that doesnt make it any less enjoyable.

Ford Fiesta ST
It only costs a bit over $20,000, but the Fiesta ST offers some serious fun for your money. You get nearly 200 horsepower and a car that weighs less than 3,000 pounds even with you in the drivers seat. Combined with a well-tuned suspension, its an absolute blast.

Ford Focus ST
The Focus RS is new and hot, but dont underestimate the Focus ST. Its still quick and a hugely-entertaining machine to drive. Plus, the step up in size makes it more practical for a lot of people than the smaller Fiesta ST.

Too lazy to rehost the pics.
