OK, it hasn't happened yet, but those who have been following the escapades of Roadkill know the 1968 Charger General Mayhem has gone through a transformation and is now equipped with a Hellcat engine and transmission.

They called out Gas monkey garage on Facebook and twitter to build a Hellcat-swapped car and to run them for pinks at the Woodward Dream Cruise. That race is happening tonight for an episode of Fast N Loud, I believe.

Should be interesting, and good for the hot rod community as these guys are pioneering Hellcat swaps. Also, Roadkill is spraying their Charger. Both are sponsored by Dodge so I'm sure they've had a ton of factory support, both in compatibility and resources. Pretty cool stuff.

Damn, that dart sounds nasty.

Gas monkey spends a bunch of money to make something look shitty

Freiburger and finnigan spend next to nothing to build a car that looks and is shitty but always in a spectacular way

I love their Rotsun. 4.3L Turbo V6 in a Datsun no fucks given. Its awesome and even sounds good too.

But but butt I thought people were bitching the hellcat blower pulley was sooooooooooo hard or impossibru to swap.

Pretty sure I distinctly remember this because I laughed and said swap crank pulley then..........

Edit has anyone run fucking 9s yet in the hellcat challenger?

I was thinking it had a clutch system on the upper and the computer used it to limit peak boost, but that was just what I herd and I don't know it to be true

Sooo again why cant the upper pulley be changed? So long as the clutch is still being used. Or is the stock pulley the smallest that can fit over the clutch?

Ill have to research this, I know benz used clutch type supercharger setups but wasn't aware that the hellcat did.

Also havnt heard a single valid reason why someone can change the crank pulley to drive the blower harder.

Oh and about then 9s? Anyone make it yet?

Supercharged 6.2 Hemi: ?HellCat V8?

Allpar says the

"The new supercharger, sealed for life with synthetic oil, has a drive ratio of 2.36:1 and a maximum speed of 14,600 rpm. The one-way clutch de-coupler improves refinement without detracting from the engine noise. The supercharger gulps air through an Air Catcher inlet port, which replaces the driver’s-side inboard marker light and connects to a twin-inlet, eight-liter air box; the 92 mm throttle body is the largest ever used in a Chrysler Group vehicle."

If that's the case, well then what would be the disadvantage of removing the clutch if its the only thing stopping it from running a smaller pulley? The car can obviously be tuned so I don't see how the SC clutch would be a necessity.
