I have a miss under load on my excursion and I suspect a coil or coil boot as the culprit possibly plugs also, are the aftermarket coils shit like in the grand orix world they are half the price of factory coils at 330 bucks per set of 10 I like this option better, I do plan to change the fuel filter at the same time but it acts more like an ignition problem, anything else to look at while I'm doing maintenance

i think all modular coils are the same, no?

if thats the case, go to the junk yard with a 8mm socket and start filling your pockets.

I think so as well is there a way to ohm them to see if they are good before I pay for them from a junk yard

Yes they're the same.

I rarely seen a bad one come back to me when I worked at napa

you just ohm it as you would any other coil.
primary and secondary coils. and compare a known good one.

i use the napa coils all the time on fords. never had an issue

4 valve coils don't have the screw hold down if memory serves me correct, anything 2 valve style should work
