How can you tell if the mount is going/gone?

Back at the Spring STL modday, my engine mount was replaced because it was shot, but we didn't look at the tranny mount.


And btw, when i shift from neutral to drive or reverse, usually drive, THUNK, and when i give it moderate throttle in reverse, bigger THUNK...

well, the noise is in additon to the physical shudder of the THUNK

and almost 80k miles, it's a 99

Sounds like when I busted my motor mount.

But if it is a bad mount you should also feel it between shifts, when taking off from a stopsign or stoplight, ect.

Replace the trans mount and see what happens

hrmm wonder if mine is not working ethier... lol

i got a clunk when shifting.. hrmm something to look into..

shorter dog bone will proably increase the chance of a mount going bad huh?
