Passat got some Tint!

Had Carl's Tints in Mchenry do it. $230 out the door for the better carbon tint, 35% all the way around.

Very happy with the tint work so far. Final judgement being held for when it's cured in a couple days... But looks good so far!

Interesting thing to remember with tints...

I was pulled over yesterday. Couldn't figure out why the kid was stopping me. I pulled off the 50 mph road into a strip mall and parked. He sat in his car and waited for back up. I had my car turned off and my window down. The Sheriff's police youngster walked all the way around the car to the passenger side so I rolled that window down, too. I think the tints scared him. He couldn't see me.

Turns out my license tag was expired. They expire on birthdays down here and I thought the Caddy was on my birthday. It was on my wife's in February. Got a warning ticket and replaced the tag yesterday afternoon. Glad the kid didn't shoot me. Ferguson! Ferguson!

As a habit, I ALWAYS turn on interior lights and roll down the front windows when I'm stopped...

That's unless I'm getting pulled into a DUI checkpoint stop... those are BS.
