I'd venture to say this car will beat a hellcat charger in a real world race and get to its 195 top speed faster than the charger will get to its 204.

Damn near same power in a lighter weight, more aerodynamic package.

But I'm just bench racing.

It amazes me that these cars with all of this power, can't break 200mph. How much drag do they have?

The RUF Yellowbird had 470hp or so, and did 211mph.

I think they need to focus more on aerodynamics again. The current gen mustang and camaro are the aerodynamic equivalent of two lego bricks.

You put 700hp in a 3rd or 4th gen F-body and you'll be passing 200mph no problem.

That car would have easily broke 200mph, it was limited by gear. Hence him saying "Hit the limiter at 195".

Also, if you went 200mph in a 3rd or 4th gen Fbody without any modifications to the body panels, I'm sure the thing would fly apart. There's a lot more that goes into breaking the 200mph barrier than just throwing power at it.

Yeah the car was limited by gear. It was running to that 195mph speed tho. Keep in mind the henessey corvette that ran 200.4 had their HPE600 blower kit plus spray and it was struggling to get to 200.
