Aren't GM 3.6's problematic? Oil consumption and timing chains?

They're not really reliable no matter how you slice it so I'd almost rather have a higher mileage one that's had a bunch of work done to it than a lower mileage one where it's all going to need to be done.

The SMG cars are supposed to be a nightmare though.

those srt 300s are actually more sorted out on the road course than the challengers. My parents got a 392 challenger and gave me the SRT experience track day and I got to thrash on all the srt vehicles minus the viper and I have to say for a DD/play thing the 300 felt more stable and controllable in hard corners. Plus the interior had a more upscale feeling than the midlife crisis feeling I got out of the challenger. The charger felt bloated and slow and the jeep while feeling the fastest out of the hole because of the awd launch was way too top heavy in the corners to push it super super hard.

People need to buy more manuals so there are more available on the used market.

sad thing is that in america a manual is almost like a "factory theft deterent system". i think was last year about a kid trying to steal a manual pt cruiser or something and got caught because he couldnt get it to move.

Road and wind noise are fine. The engine is notably more coarse and unrefined sounding than turbo fours from BMW, Mercedes and Audi. Coincidentally enough, I'm driving an ATS coupe 2.0T right now.
