Here's my ride for the past week in Chicago. 18,000 mile Camaro SS from Budget. Something like 420hp, paddle shifters, heated leather, HUD, etc. Not a bad ride. I hated giving it back. Ended up costing me $5 a day over the base rental price of a standard model. Well worth the extra $$. Only downside is it's tough to see in any direction. Long front end, narrow side windows and little rear view. Back up camera is necessary to see what's behind it. Ride was firm. Cornered like it was on rails. Switching TC off, combined with the cold weather resulted in ridiculous wheel spin. I took it to a couple parking lots and had some fun with 180s and doughnuts. Thanks Budget!

Orland Park. My brother's house.

Granted, the SS wasn't close to as quick as my Cobra. Still, it wasn't bad for a rental. They wanted $18 a day to upgrade but my wife asked for the $5 price and, since it was late at night when we got to Budget after a 3 hour plane delay, they let us have it for the $5. I was expecting a base Camaro and, instead, got a loaded SS.
