Cobalt SS/TC- Yea or Nay?

My current DD is a 2007 Grand Prix GT that I am starting to get a little bored with. I have positive feelings regarding trading my GP in on a newer turbocharged cobalt. I found a few online that are in my desired price range. Anybody have any experience with the cobalt SS/TC?

Yea the cars are so much bang for your buck. Intake exhaust tune e85 = tons of fun

As long as maintenance and all recalls have been kept up with, I don't see why not. Great little cars and definitely one of the best all around packages I've ever seen in a pocket rocket. If the price is right, go nuts.

I went with the neon srt4 over the cobalt in the end due to the additional doors and stouter bolt-on potential. But it was definitely a hard choice.

SS/SC was a blast to have... I sold it before the TC came out. those things are fantastic.... can easily make 400+whp... clutch is extremely strong, axles are strong, has launch control (some years)

First you'll have a tune. Because when a Tune can give you such a huge jump in power, you are going to want the rest of it too!

Then you'll have mods.

I looked at a few SS/TCs, I really liked them from a drivers standpoint. Great handling, plenty of power.

But I wanted something with more interior features (Nav, and all the jazz). So I went with the Focus. But if I had been on a budget it would likely have been a SS/TC.

I had one for 5 years, it was fun. Never modded it unfortunately but even stock it was a blast. 30+ mpg. Ran mid to high 13s at the track. Tune will give you 80hp and 100tq. Boltons will get you to ~350- ~400 hp. It was also a beast with winter tires in the snow.

I think it would make a fantastic daily driver with a tune only.
