I called a local tire place and they matched the price installed. The TR.com price with the shipping for the same tire, installed with tax. So I am happy I saw this thread. Thanks again

Suburban Tire. They have a few locations around here. I bet if you call any local place you may have a shot at getting them to match price.

The V12's are awesome tires for the money. Had them on 2 of my vehicles.

They usually are on top of the list when car & driver and others do a max performance tire shoot out. And with them on clearance at about half price I was in. I am sure I will not be able to notice the difference between these and the Pilot Super Sports at my novice level. And they will be way better than the hard stock F1's I have now.

I am glad I saw this thread and purchased these tires. They ride and handle so much better than my old Goodyear F1 SuperCar tires. They as real quiet on the highway as well. I was at the Tail of the Dragon this past week. These were much more confidence inspiring. I have an event at the Autobahn next week. I may have to purchase a second pair as these may be trashed soon. lol

This is making me think of throwing them on the wife's car and saving the all seasons for winter. So cheap right now. You guys think dedicated summer tires will make a noticeable difference?

They're quite a sticky tire especially compared to an all season. Mine have also lasted 3 nice seasons.

They sure seemed to perform great once warmed up. They have a 280 tread wear rating. Where as the Pilot Super Sports have a 300, Pilot Super Sport A/s 3 are 500 and the ExtremeContact DWS are 540. So the V12 isn't a long as long lasting as others. But for the price of these on closeout you can't really go wrong.

I daily drove my car nearly 20k miles a year. I'd say they last pretty well as a dd tire. My car can't do burnouts and I never tracked it though

I just got the Ventus Evo 2's on the GTI and like them a lot. Not sure what they changed between the generations.

I had the old ventus RS2's on my wrx and loved those, and have the V12s on my gto and they're definitely a great tire for all around use.
