1985.5 porsche 944 repair shops?

Well my GF dad has a 1985.5 porsche 944 and needs the transmission redone/replaced along with some other work ( clutch, timing belt etc..). Just wondering if there was any decent shops the north side that would take on the job? He has a buddy that will do it but he said November. just looking to get it done so he can enjoy some driving before it snows.

My dad's friend, who's the parts manager at Motor Werks recommends either Hollis Brothers in Barrington or Arlington Performance Center in Arlington Heights, on Rand Rd. Arlington has done some work for me on Volvo's, but they are great with anything European. Great group of guys, and will even install parts you provide for them. No experience with Hollis, but they've been around forever and come highly recommended.
