Took the WRX to the track.

First off, I'm not a really a stop light racer, nor do I frequent drag strips. I dislike fixing things when they break but I do like to have a little fun with my toys every now and then. First time racing the wrx, maybe second or third time ever at a drag strip. I took the cobalt once or twice. Best time was 13.7 stock.

We got there kinda late, 8:15ish and didn't get the first run in until 8:30. Made some decent improvements from first run to last. Launching and shifting the wrx was completely different than the cobalt. I've gotten used to the no lift shift feature on the cobalt.

Here's my first and last time slip. I'm 322, left both times.

100% Stock 2014 wrx. Ran it full weight minus the extra floor mats. I do think I can get the 60' down. I've had the car a month but I still can't figure out the best release point for the clutch. I was launching at about 3500 rpms.

Get that 60 down and the car will be flying pretty good for stock.

its all about getting the hang of the car... the fact that you shaved off almost a full second and gained 10mph makes it a good day - reaction time is the last thing to worry about when you are trying to figure out a new car!
