You put 11k down and you're worried about trading it in? Go talk to John(@The Beast) right now, and welcome to owning an ST.

If you go to talk to him, look at a ST2 or 3 model with the upgraded seats. They make the car worth it if you can fit into them.

Well its not mine! But I sure would like that GTX 2867.

if I were to do turbo, I'd do the EFR series from BW.

So tempting not to buy one right now! Plan was to hold off for RS. But shit if there going to be near 40k. Might have to buy a couple year old one anyhow. So maybe I should just pickup a ST

Two things.

The applies to the Focus ST very well. Except Ford took the smallest turbo and boosted the hell out of that turbo so it ran on the ragged edge of its efficiency.

#2.

Focus ST 4dr sedan anyone? Personally, I'll take a Wagon instead, but thats much harder to make here. Guy took a ST drivetrain and appearance bits and put them on a Focus Sedan.

I applaud that person for what he did. Thats some awesome work for sure, but personally if ford did offer an st sedan, id probably still take the hatch. Even if it was a fusion st or something. I loved the new design of the fusion when it first came out, as well as the kia optima turbo, but shopping around before i got my st made me realize im just not a sedan kinda person right now. Really only exception would be if i were to get another wrx and/or sti. At least if we're talking in the realm of what i could actually afford. Haha. Theres plenty of other higher class sedans id have no problems rolling in.

Looks like a smart car going down the track

The turbo alone is listed at 2300 on their site....wonder what it cost to get the car to run 12.2....

The question is not how much it cost, but how much rubber was burned off the from tires in the process. I can't imagine that thing could put any of the power to the ground for the first half of the run.

Welp, I had some birthday cash to blow, so I just made a few purchases.......

Breedt shift arm, boomba shifter cable bushings, and a white ball shift knob from cj pony parts/spool tuning

I really wanted to get the wc lathewerks white knob, but those start at 79 bucks, and then to get the shift pattern engraved on them is another 30, so 109 bucks for a shift knob....ehh.. The cj pony parts was 38 bucks. And has the shift pattern painted on. Good enough for me.

My options are a bit limited because I really need a polymer type knob that doesnt retain a lotta heat. Metal knobs are OUT. I had one on my wrx when i had that car, and i still have 3rd degree burn scars on my hand from getting into the car in the summer. haha.

Anyways, cant wait for this all to show up!

See, I'm perfectly happy with the stock shift knob. See no reason to change it.

The Boomba shifter bushings do epic things to the shift action. I dont' have them, but I sat in their shop car when it had them. Lots less play.

I'm still in a holding pattern for the RS. But if its out of my price range I'm probably going to jump straight into a EFR6258 turbo swap the other bolt-ons.

I don't desire a fuck ton of boost, but being able to hold 21psi to the 6800rpm redline would make huge gains in power. I probably wouldn't find much more power than that fun to constantly have to pedal it.

I have no problems w/ the stock knob either, but for 38 bucks I'll give this one a shot. I've got a black ball knob in my gto and love it, so i figured a white knob in my st would be a nice yin/yang contrast. haha

I saw the one thread about the cable popping off, but I thought that more related to people using that upgraded bushing you pop on thats stiffer and doesnt flex as much. We'll see what happens I guess. haha
