Wow love it in white. It is really taking a lot of self control not to go snatch one of these up. I am just trying to wait on the RS.....

Damn, tons of ST's on here.

ST is the new 3800 junk.

You'll want to invest in some snow tires. The stock F1s get SKETCHY in the cold snow.

Dry 20F Day? You can drive, limited traction.

Wet/Snowy 20F Day with slush all over the road? Dear God scary.

Ice/Snow? Your fucked. Stay home.

I have logged 500 miles since picking the car up Monday. I like this car. A lot. This is my first manual and I am finally starting to get to the point where I am fairly comfortable/functional driving it.

Snow wheels/tires will be ordered soon. I have no intention of driving it in the snow with the F1's. Tint will follow soon after that.

Fuel economy will pick up as it breaks in. Seems that by 5000 miles or so its finally broken in.

Picked up the car and couldn't get more than 23-25mpg highway out of it. By 5000 miles, I could regularly hit 36mpg highway.

Had a customer come in for some work last winter with barely any snow on the ground but it was very cold, he got stuck pulling into our shop that has a VERY slight incline at 2 mph so yes snow tires are a MUST.

I am glad to hear this. My highway mpg has not been very good thus far. I am also in the 25ish range.

Final sale price was $19950 after rebates, which put me at just under $22K OTD.

You know, I hate that when I bought my ST there were no rebates. I was LUCKY to get the final sale price down to $24k.

Ahh okay. I didn't even see any ST2's when I was looking. It seemed to be only ST1's or ST3's.

ST3's make up slightly over 50% of all sales. ST2's make up another 30% or something like that.

What I really wanted was a ST2 w/o moonroof, but with the other options.

I should have just bought a ST3 with moonroof and been done with it. I could have afforded it, but at the time I was fretting over the payments.

The dealer i got mine from had a silver st2 and my silver st3. Definitely could have come away with the st2 cheaper, but i figured go big or go home. I wanted it all

I would have probably walked away with an ST2 or ST3 if I had been comfortable in the recaros. My body and the leg bolsters did not get along very well.

I've only sat in the st3, but how are the st1 seats? Are they not recaros? More streamline sporty seats like a normal gti?

I don't care for the other options, only one I want is heated seats but that isn't worth the $$

st1 seats are more "normal" seats I guess you could say. Not as bolstered.

st2 seats are like the st3 seats, only they're cloth. and the drivers seat isnt powered. and they're not heated.

Direct bolt on for st3 into st1? I don't care for power, just like heated seats.

I've swapped seats in the past and found many cars to have them prewired.

st3 seats should bolt in to an st1 if you can find someone willing to make the swap. would probably require some cash on your end. Only tricky part would be getting the heater switches wired up. ST3 has a completely different center console, w/ these switches for the seat heaters.

But Im sure its possible to do. A search of the ST forum should yield some results.

Im no stranger so seat swaps either. Had jdm sti seats in the wrx i used to own

Thats one of the main reasons I fell in love w/ the recaros once i sat in them. Reminded me so much of those seats.
