The ford blocks since the SN platform have been pretty stout, its been the rotating assembly that is the weak point. The fox blocks are the ones that cant handle power

The reason stock block is amazing, is because right around 19-21psi, on the coyote engines, the actual blocks have been cracking cylinder sleeves and damaging water ports.

There are remedies like JPC's aluminum bar they jam into the water jacket and weld in, then machine the surface; but the best fix IMO is L&M's re-sleeving using a high quality Darton sleeve.

But what do i know? I drive a 3v.
