Since it is a Chrysler 200, you must use a gold infused whale semen based cleaner. You can find these cleaners at your local Luxury car boutique. That is the only type of product that is worthy of cleaning said carpet. Any normal cleaner will lower the awesomeness of your vehicle.

But on a real note, do what Muskie said, brand will not be important for road salt, just water and a wet/dry vac has worked for me in the past.

No product is going to remove salt. You really just need to soak/dissolve and remove it. More than likely you are going to need to shampoo the area a couple times otherwise it will still feel crusty to the touch.

Spring was the biggest pain in the ass time for shampooing interiors. The shit took forever to dry since it was usually 50 degrees and wet. That being said make sure you run some fans in the car and crack the windows to let the moisture out. Otherwise in 2 weeks you'll be asking us how to get the smell of mold out. Let me tell you...you can't unless you soak enzyme cleaner down to the padding
