Yep, for timing. It was leaking fuel from the returns on top of the injectors. I just did the o-rings and I'm all good now. I was tempted to do the whole kit but the hoses, clamps, and plastic fittings seem good.
On the shakedown run around the block I lost the water pump like I've never seen before, which soaked the belts bad enough to kill the power steering and brakes. This wouldn't have been so bad but the shift linkage also came apart at the same time, so going to neutral and coasting wasn't an option. Was an exciting trip around the block.
I will look up CTC Deezul sometime soon. My first diesel so any help would probably be a good thing.
