Met up with Dasfinc and wifey today.

The season is pretty much over and I havent taken the cobra to the track this year. Most of the year I have been trying to arrange a trailer incase something were to happen. Schedules didnt align, unfortunately, so i neglected to take the cobra out this year.

[ricer excuses]
I decided to play it "safe" today and run it in street mode, (but with slicks instead of DRs), didnt modify anything, didnt remove anything from the car or the trunk. I really didnt want to pay for a tow back home if anything were to happen. Not only would it be me freezing my ass off, but my gf was there too... not in her best interest to break.

Due to this, I didnt go balls to the walls like I would have preferred. Came off the 2-step at an easy 4000rpms, no powershifting. The car is breaking up in 4th gear... nowhere NEAR how bad it was before I added the PPRV Delete kit. It has a ton of power the first 3 gears, but once you bang fourth, it feels like the power gets cut in half. Im thinking a retune in the spring is needed. I feel as if it was only tuned for the first 3 gears. Should be easily trapping 125mph+

All in all, my first time ever using slicks (26.0x10.5x16 MT)and my first time at the track with this car. It got progressively faster as the day went on (11.9, 11.7, 11.49, 11.40), but I didnt want to push my luck and I was getting very low on gas. Im thinking I could have still cracked off an 11.2 if I set the 2-step higher than where it was and powershifted all gears.

Some pics and a video at the end
