Few issues with this "list". The ACR isnt on it (yes, you can still get it at a dealer). The P1 and the 918 are not even production cars yet...

Other than that, its an interesting to see the numbers side by side.

Ring Leaders: Fastest cars at the Nurburgring you can buy in America - MSN Autos

Known as "The Green Hell," the grueling 12.8-mile Nurburgring racetrack in Germany has become an automotive mecca of sorts. Car companies, car clubs and automotive "buff books" travel to this historic track to set fastest lap times, possibly break records, and earn bragging rights. Since the Porsche 918 Spyder recently set a phenomenal lap time of 6 minutes 57 seconds, we thought we'd tally up the fastest cars around the 'Ring that you can buy from a dealer in the U.S. (Note: Times posted may have been the result of manufacturer-supported teams, while others were pulled from magazine shootouts with maybe a guy checking tire pressure.)

 I didn't realize the C6Z did that well there!

pretty sure that was a Z06 Carbon with Michelin cup tires, so closer to 97k vs 76k cost.

Nonetheless, still a serious time. I don't know what it will take to convince the naysayers and nutswingers, but there is no doubt the Z06 and the Nissan GT-R are the true all around street kings around. They're the automotive equivalent of a " win" button

Chi-Town....
Remember, Most of those times were not full track runs because of different starting points at the track... I believe the 7:22 C6Z run was done @ 67,600 ft.. It runs 7.4X full track which is close to 69,000ft long... My old ass C5 Z06 did a 7:56 full track run lol :D. Its impressive for any car to get under 8 mins full track...
