It would be nice if they came with headers and other upgrades, but wouldn't you miss the fun of building up a car yourself?

LOL, and then people ask why German cars are more expensive. Let's compare the LS3 exhaust manifolds to the M3 headers:
M3 for sure had headers, wouldn't call them long tubes, but they are headers. The R8 has headers too, not sure what they look like but when we did the exhaust you could see the header piping coming into a collector and then to the exhaust.
Yup, looks like a cost issue One reason gains are likely minimal. Those are amazing for a factory piece.
Like? European cars have them. Both my m3 and R8 have headers stock...
