@SleeperLS GTOs have the same issue so I am used to it. No fix, just gets dirty. It is easy to keep up with especially since you won't be DDing and putting tons of miles on. Think of it as changing the oil, its good for the car.

Interesting video. Seems pretty easy to maintain the fluid at least.

I changed the trans fluid and brake fluid in my 5.0 way more times than needed. It wasn't too bad at all to do the basic maintenance. Plus, I attributed those services to why I never had mt82 issues when a lot of others did (no proof of that). At least the clutch reservoir is seperate and easy to get to.

I don't change mine nearly enough, but a few thousand miles a year is probably why.

It is easy, just never ending. Especially after hard driving. Like I said I would do all that in the pits before a test & tune day, then I'd have to do it the next day to get the car back to normal for regular driving.

That would end up deterring me from going to the race track too often.

Im not sure but I got my C6 Z06 with under 50k miles for under 40k. Id much rather have this car than a C7. My only complaint is that I dont have the 08 interior. I may swap the dash over. But I feel the 08+ the interior is fine.

As for the clutch system, this is a real problem. I had it start on my 07 C6 at like 500 miles. The fluid was black as coffee, and the clutch pedal would stick to the floor on hard shifts. Once I did the ranger method a few times, all was back to good. I would do this in the pits before a track day, then at home the next day because it would be black again. You will see.
My brother's C6 Z06 developed the same issues , clutch pedal sticks to the floor .He needs to get it fixed before May 20th

10yrs/120k they will fix with updated parts. I think it's recall 14714, he should have got a letter in the mail.

Get it fixed and ranger every 2k miles and should be all good. Easy 10 minute job.
Remote bleeder when the clutch needs replacing for sure.

C7 looks like crap.

Car designs tend to grow on me over time, but not always. Two recent designs that haven't are the newest Mustang and the C7. I don't hate the cars because the interiors are superior and performance seems to follow. But, the exterior style just doesn't get any blood flowing to my giblets.

Thats why I had a speed bleeder installed when i got my clutch replaced. Makes bleeding the clutch fluid easy peasy. One of the best mods ive done to the car actually

fuck the clutch issue with the Z06, lets talk about the heads. And those like me who had them "fixed" and now forum members are popping up with fixed heads with guides out of spec. If I had to do it again, it would either be a grandsport or a ZR1. If I had a solid offer on my Z06, id dump this garage queen in a minute and pick up a ZR1.

I would prefer a ZR1, but a GS with a turbo would work for me. @Jack Supercharged C6 gets down.

The LS3 is rock solid and proven as fuck, you cant beat a boosted LS3 on a budget. Theres just something about that ZR1, especially the NRB, which only 53 were made. Id sell my wife into slavery for that car (she would cut my balls off and use them for dice before that would happen)
