The fastest cars are running 6s and have to drive on the street 1,200 miles towing their own gear.

Here's the rundown this year.

Drag Week 2013 is here! From September 9-13, HOT ROD will be following its most hard-core readers on a 1,200-mile trek through four states, five drag strip stops, and a possible nine lives (things break, ya know!). To make sure you fine folks in Internet-land can stay in the loop, bookmark this very page and use it for reference. And if you plan on attending the races, read on because the information you need is below.

LIVE STREAMING
Drag Week 2013 runs 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day, although the schedule is loose due to track and weather conditions. Click on the below links during the races to watch them live. Keep in mind that all tracks are in CST except Indy which is in EST:

Monday, September 9: Beech Bend Raceway
Tuesday, September 10: Lucas Oil Raceway
Wednesday, September 11: Gateway Motorsports Park
Thursday, September 12: Memphis International Raceway
Friday, September 13: Beech Bend Raceway (rain date Sat)

Some highlights. One of the fastest cars is running 6.70s and 6.80s with 2,200 rwhp.

The variety of cars is nuts this year. Around 250 I think. There's a 2JZ Aussie car, a Grand-National-powered Mustang, twin-turbos everywhere. Gassers, trucks, wagons. I would love to just spectate in this some year.

this is seriously one of the coolest motorsports events in the nation and i am surprised it doesn't get more publicity.

That thing is seriously badass. Haven't seen it make a full run yet. Seems like they're sorting out problems.

Watching these 6 second cars roll up at the checkpoints with trailers in tow isn't just INSANELY AWESOME, but its a seriously impressive feat for these cars to accomplish.
