Electric Fans, Worth it or not?

Ok are electric fans worth it or not? I have a 04 F150 and was thinking about putting some on to try to get a few more mpg out of it. Who has done this and what are your experiences with them? I've read some good things, but want to hear more.

A "few more" would be like a 25% increase in mpg. If you think you'll get that from just switching to e fans, you're confused

I did it to my 05 explorer and picked up a solid 1-2 mpg. I am looking for a good kit for the Tacoma now. The kit on the Explorer had the temp sensor you jam into the radiator and I didn't like that. If I do it again, I would want an override switch in the cab so I can turn it on when I want.

I put spal e-fans on my trailblazer and it made a shit ton more room in there to work, e-fans cold air intake and tune picked up about 3 mpg highway, not really worth it for the mpg factor only but those changes made a nice seat of the pants difference when you want to get down on it

The only reason I would do it is for mpg. The truck already has a cold air intake and a programmer.

efans and a tune on my old AWD TBSS got me 21mpg on the highway - I just put a efan on my 91 5.0 - I noticed a lot more power / throttle response - but I haven't driven it enough to see if its better mpgs yet or not - still in the beating the shit out of it enjoying the power phase still - but I would assume it picked up 1-2mpgs

Why don't you just trade pu for something economical? What do you need pu for?

On my 98 F-150 2v npi 4.6 I put dual E-Fans on, didn't noticed much of a difference, maybe .5 mpg better but A/C blew lot cooler, it's a truck built to haul and tow not gas mileage.

I love having a truck. Its very handy and I use it as a truck.

I will never not have a pickup. First mod i did to mine was ls1 fans
