This is a 1985 Mazda RX7 GSL
Newer paint.
Aluminum racing seats.
All lights & signals work.
Carbureted 302 ford, shorty headers, built C4 trans w 2400 stall & manual valve body.
Clutch pedal is there, so it would not be that hard to throw in a T5 trans.
Wet 75 shot, MT drag radials with minimal miles on them in the rear and skinnys up front.
Also different rims with street tires on them for cruising and laying rubber, pictures below.
Car runs 12's on motor and 11's on spray per last owner, I have never taken it to the strip.
New suspension all around.
Actually handles and cruises well around town, the 5 liter is only 50 or so lbs heavier than the stock Wankel so the car still hugs the road.
It sounds wonderful and goes like a bat out of hell.
I get people coming up to me at the gas station all the time.
I really don't want to sell it but I could use the money to put towards another project right now, and I just do not have time to ever get to the strip.
I recently went on about a 60 mile trip, in 80 degree heat, and it stayed nice and cool and ran like a dream.
I do drive it all over on the weekends, and it always gets lots of looks and odd comments.
A guy at Ace Hardware once yelled at me " That don't sound like no turbine engine in there", to which I responded, "No sir, it is not."

MSD 6010 digital box plug and play to the cam and crank sensor that controls the timing and factory coils.

The car still has a complete interior in it.
On motor it has made a best of 380whp on a mustang dyno in omaha. Approx 500 motor HP
On a 250 shot it made a best of 647whp in KC.
The car weighs 3085 with me in it after the cage.
At that power level, on one kit. the car has been a best of 9.57 @ 146mph in the 1/4 mile. And a best of 6.11 @ 116 in the 1/8th mile.
On motor this setup went 11.1 @ 124 and 7.1 @ 98.
Very possible to go low 9s on both nitrous kits.
I have moved the price to 11,500 obo. I will entertain trades of other mustangs, any combos. I would prefer another LS mustang.
I can also swap in a stock 5.3 if desired to lower the price.
