MAJOR swirl marks & scratches

Long story short, niece and nephew decided to wash my car...with a scotch brite in my absence. Hood lost its luster in few spots and there are nasty looking swirl marks all over. So far I applied two coats of wax and used Meguiars swirl remover which helped some, but I can't get over how fucking ugly the hood looks.

Are there any other good products I could use or am I screwed?
