We can't put OMEGA on the dyno anymore due to excessive wheel spin but I would imagine with that 185mph trap speed it has to be nearing the 1700whp mark.

No AC but almost full interior.

Yes, for the most part. There really isn't much of a reason to take most of that stuff out as it doesn't really weight much.

I am really excited to bring these new parts to market though.

1. CCM brake upgrade that works with the factory calipers and has OEM quality hardware and fitment.
2. Custom Wheel and tire setup that allows for a full slick out back on the stock brakes. No need to reduce braking to improve your time They also work with our new CCM brakes!
3. Custom Suspension that allows for a very comfortable ride and extremely smooth transition for those primarily looking for straight line performance.

All of these are found on OMEGA and have been thoroughly tested. In fact they are the same components that allowed us to cut 4 (in a row) 1.3 second 60' times on previous outings.

OMEGA has always been a test bed for everything we do. She breaks it, we make it better. She shows us where to improve her and we do. She is literally a constantly evolving engineering test.

ALPHA OMEGA went to the track last night (7/11/13) to reclaim the fastest and quickest GT-R title. We’ve been tweaking and perfecting the car since the half mile even back in June where Omega took top honors with a 214mph half mile blast. OMEGA’s initial shake down pass looked very smooth and controlled, when the board lit up, no one could believe their eyes, 8.303 @ 182.77 mph – 3 tenths of a second and almost 8mph faster than we had ever been!

OMEGA wasn’t finished, a few more quick adjustments and the car was ready for more. OMEGA rolled to the line, launched hard without drama, and clicked off a new GT-R world record: 8.259 @ 185.18mph, shaving another .044 seconds off the record and increasing the MPH record by 2.41!

OMEGA geared up for one last pass at 10pm to further lower the record. As we pulled up to make our last run the whole track suddenly went dark and we saw what looked like a fireworks show at the far end of the track near the road. Unfortunately a Mustang had the throttle get stuck and it hit the sand trap at the end of the track flipping end over end knocking down an electrical pole taking out the power transformer. Thankfully the driver survived with a couple broken ribs and will make a full recovery.

Looking at the data from the Vbox we discovered on the record setting run we had also broken two more records! 60-130mph in 2.67 seconds, crushing the previous record of 3.00 seconds which we set at the half mile even in June and 100-150mph in 2.45 seconds besting the 2.58 second record set by an Underground Racing Gallardo.
