Bigger diameter idler pulley......provides more belt wrap for the blower pulley and turns at a lower RPM thus stressing the idler bearings less.

Another option is as long as you have decent belt wrap and aren't slipping, then you can drop a pulley size or two on the blower itself to gain more boost, but not at the cost of spinning your idler pulley faster.

Both of these options assume that issues are localized around the idler pulley itself and not some other unrelated issue in the drive belt system.
