On a Procharger or any snail style blower, what are you doing about your idler pulley?

I keep breaking them with bearings rated to 18,000 RPM. I hear I need 25,000 RPM bearings, but they do not exist for my application.

What is your solution? Besides not driving the car.

Bigger diameter idler pulley......provides more belt wrap for the blower pulley and turns at a lower RPM thus stressing the idler bearings less.

Another option is as long as you have decent belt wrap and aren't slipping, then you can drop a pulley size or two on the blower itself to gain more boost, but not at the cost of spinning your idler pulley faster.

Both of these options assume that issues are localized around the idler pulley itself and not some other unrelated issue in the drive belt system.

i have a roots blower spun very hard i run 90mm dual bearing idler pulleys the larger idlers stopped me from destroying the smaller stock idlers
