95 Cougar V8 vibration

I didnt want to put this in the FORD section so hopefully its ok to put it here. Im just trying to get some ideas from you guys on what would cause a pretty heavy vibration while driving my cougar. WHen I drove to Champaign recently I noticed a nice vibration that comes and goes for a few seconds. Im guessing the higher the speed the more noticable it becomes. It last for a few seconds then comes back every few miles. I noticed it anywhere from 40-65 mph. I really just need some ideas on where to start looking. Thanks

Dunno why I didn't spot that.... been a long week.

Yea, My previous statement stands (Ball joint, u joints, Torque converter).

V6 transmissions are less prone to problems IIRC in the Cougar/Tbird, while a previous member on here had a Verter issue on his 95 Tbird.

I had the ball joints replaced about a month ago. Not sure what and where the u joints are lol.... I was cruising at 60 for about an hour straight on the ride home and it would just come and go, hard to say where it felt like it was coming from.

My bro in law said might be trans related but I figured since I was in overdrive and not down or upshifting while cruising at 60 that it could not be the trans but then again I dont know shit.

What else came apart when you did ball joints? You may just need an alignment if it happened recently

Nah, it was happening before I changed the ball joints, just been delaying finding out whats wrong. I had my buddy do the work so I have no clue.
