2006 Accord 5 speed for a daily?

Sold the caddy after many years. Looking to get a good gas- miser car no more v8 DD for me. Looking at 04-06 Accords with 5 speed manuals and the 2.4l motor. Other than being a slug any issues with them or any reason to stay away? It's a Honda so hopefully it will run till 200k and not cost a arm and leg to maintain.

I have test drove a few and they are ok, nothing spectacular but I like 34-34mpg with the stick.

Want to keep it under 8K

My mother had a 2007 4 banger sedan (auto) for a couple of years way back when.

Rode REALLY well, and was surprisingly taught (didn't really wallow about as one would expect an 'eco' car to ride).

I'd rock a manual accord any day of the week... Weren't all manual K24 cars 6 speeds?

Only the V6s got the 6 speed trans. Don't really care I do 85% city 15% highway city mpg is all I care about. So the 6 speed for me is overkill, probably use it once a month.

Just looked it up, yea, ONLY the coupes could be had with the V-6 and manual (6 speed).

5 speed for the 4 banger sedans.

If you are going to be doing 85% city driving most modern automatics will actually net you just as good MPG as a manual would on a side note.

There are many cars that will get you 200k+ miles with cheap maintenance...

its a manual Honda... will run forever and cheap and easy to fix!!
