Not only will the Chicago event have the fastest 1/2 mile speed ever recorded at a WGF venue, but it sold out in record time and looks to have lots of powerful cars that WannaGoFAST!!

Ideally, 160+. 150 should be a cakewalk based on my past 1/2 mile runs.

Of note, no FWD cars on the list, and only 3 sedans (4 doors), and nothing from earlier than mid-90s from what I can tell. So a 1989, 4-door, FWD grandma car should be a rare sight at those speeds it seems!

Only 1 4cyl on the list.

We are looking at a s/c build. Blower and lots of supporting mods for it. Waiting for parts to be available is the bitch of it all. I wont start the project till I have enough or at least enough to make a difference and where it can be done by June to run.

that would be awesome, ive kicked around the idea of doing a turbo build on my trailblazer but i keep talking myself out of it since i tow alot with it and its my current every day car

I'll be stalling mine so all towing will be gone. Plus removing the hitch and spare tire and other dead weight will hopefully take me under 5k lbs

I'm shooting for 600 from blower and supporting and see where it goes from there. This one isn't as cheap as the gto was so my wallet is what's going to slow this one down. It's all going to be a toss up for now. It's an entire new platform to start off of. I'm hoping to be one of the first to get some shit really moving on a wk2 srt. That also comes with the first to start blowing shit up.

I hear ya. I'd let other people be the guinea pigs first though! I waited a good year after the superchargers were released on the M3 before I decided it was safe enough to get one for my car.

Here is the issue with that... I'm a big fan of maggies, not saying I wouldn't try others but I really like their systems. Well to go with times, magnuson is replatforming all of their systems, I believe starting with their models for the c6 vette and moving from there. It could be some time just to see one released anyway. I'm hoping not but it's possible. That would probably put me in the direction of Kenny bell but that's something I've never messed with before.
