So I did rear brakes and rotors on my friends Toyota Avalon yesterday. I made sure to tighten everything really tight. Took it for a ride and when you hit the brakes they make kind of a clunk sound. The new pads didn't come with shims and I made sure to grease the back of the pads that contact the caliper. I didn't touch the rattle clips and the pads were a pretty tight fit. Any ideas?
