Ford Edge, any good?

My parents are thinking about getting one of these. I want to know if anyone here knows the quality of these things. My parents are getting old and are too proud of themselves to get a used Town Car.

Thoughts?

I think it's ugly, but do they last?

My coworker has one, it's pretty nice. his is an 07 with roughly 85k on it, and it seems to be in good working order. No issues with it yet in the ~2yrs he's owned it.

The edge sport is the best looking one. I've had an edge demo since 2007 I've never had a problem very reliable and have sold a few to my family members. My family has compared them to the Nissan murano and they choose the edge over it.

My buddy has a 2011 Edge sport. I have to say, it is one nice looking vehicle. He loves it and has had no issues with it.

Edge sport with the Ecoboost seems like it would be a lot of fun. I haven't driven one but my inlaws have a non-ecoboost limited I think and it's a really nice car. Some of the same problems as the Flex with the cheap feeling interior but a billion times better than Fords of just 10 years ago and probably something they would only care about if they were coming from an Audi or a BMW.

My parents have an 08 Lincoln MKX and it's a nice car, I really like the platform. BUT I liked my 2012 Murano much more...

I borrowed my neighbor's Edge when I needed to bring my Plasma TV in for repairs. They're not the ritziest cars on the planet but I liked it. Rode smoothly and was pleasant to drive. She has had hers for 3 or 4 years now and, AFAIK, has not had any major issues with it.

We just got this last week and it's basically a dressed up edge. Has the V-6 they use in the Mustang but the rest of the platform is based off the edge.

So far we love it, and it's really an amazing vehicle. Would recommend to anyone. We also test drove and edge and liked it as well, but went with the MKX because of the goodies and higher quality materials.

Buddy of mine had a Edge Sport and it been a good suv. I personally drove it for a while and really liked it.
