Weird Camaro?

Just wondering if any of you guys have ever heard of a third gen Camaro RS coming from the factory with an IROC-Z hood stock. Straight from the dealership with all matching VINs. A factory mess up that noone knows about really or did they decide to do some mind fucking of people when they bought the cars?

Just asking because this is how my uncles car is. He bought it brand spanking new from the dealership and its like brand new still because it has such low mileage.

So not from the factory with VINs matching? Because I was under the impression you couldn't get the IROC-Z hood on an RS but somehow his has it with numbers matching and all and thats how he bought it off the lot?

Read it and I know it LOOKs like an IROC but it didn't come with an IROC hood from the factory. At least it wasn't supposed to

^^^That hood on it. Yet it isn't an IROC but it came from the factory like that? I'm looking for option lists and so far the ones I've seen hasn't listed adding the IROC hood or body parts to an RS

There's a RPO decoder on third gen.org

Download it and key in the numbers in the center glove box. It will show you every option that car came with.

Lol that MIGHT find something I haven't found yet but I've been researching like no other about this car and was looking at all the RPO codes from that year and haven't found a single one saying anything about putting the IROC things on an RS?

I doubt it. What year is it? Maybe it was towards the end of the run and they just started putting whatever parts on whatever car.

Dealers used to do their own appearance packages. It's likely the dealer pitot on.

my mustang has the "anti-theft" (stickers witht he VIN on it) labels on the hood and its a 91 - keep in mind if any body work was done by the dealer, they have the right to re-print the anti-theft labels for new body panels.

Its an 89 IIRC. Idk it just seems weird and I wasn't sure if it was some kinda special edition or something weird or what it was
