Mini Repaint, Need Opinions

Doing a full repaint, inside and out. I'm partial to repainting it original... but since I've got an opportunity to do anything I want, I was wondering if anyone's got something better in mind.

I was thinking about that, but the stripes really make it. I'm gonna have them painted on though, and solid black instead of the black with white outline from the factory. All the chrome is already blacked out, but will be redone, and the rear lights will be smoked. I'm still split on whether or not I should repaint the wheels gunmetal (currently bright silver) to match the car.

Not. My. Problem. although the upkeep does concern me. Any bit of bug or bird turd can ruin the finish almost immediately.

Yup and there is no such thing at touching it up or buffing out a scratch. What you get is what you get out of the booth lol

Maybe do some matte stripes and a matte roof, since the roof on a Mini should be a contrast anyway. Then you get some of the look without all the maintenance of a full matte car.

I was thinking about doing that, since the chrome has already been covered in matte black.

Decided to go with GM's Evoke Grey Pearl (think dark grey G8), chrome trim and roof is gonna be semi-gloss black, and finished with BMW metallic clear coat. Supposed to be going by the shop tonight to see the progress. So far, all the custom body work is done, will post some pics of it soon.
