Help with van repair

So the kid got hit in the van and it broke the rear tire off. That's the only bad damage. I got it mostly apart but need to know if the cast iron pc on the end is removable. Chryslar voyager 2000.

It attaches to the leaf spring and then the back of the wheel. It looks like the pipe slides inside of it. But. so far no banging on it has moved it.

So I am hopeing I can remove it, then go get one from the salvage yard. Any clues if or how to get this off?

Yes, its removeable. Soak it with pb blaster, let it soak for a while, then heat it. It's going to take lots of heat, and pounding. Be generous with the pb blaster.

It's welded and is not removable, unless the weld is removed and it's pressed off. The Axle is sold as an assembly anyway.

its one large torsional beam axle (the beam is also functioning as a sway bar/knuckle tie, while the design as a whole functions like a trailing arm suspension) you remove it from the forward pivots and the lateral bar/shocks and it drops down.

normally its the hub bearing that snaps not the whole arm though the beam can bend and youll have to shim a new bearing/hub.

ah its the leaf not coil suspension,yeah your gonna end up treating it like a live axle basically

Ok, I can remove the whole thing, wasn't that hard, just didn't want to screw with the other side.
