better than a weak ass 700 or 4l60

if i had it my way, everything would have a th400

i just like driving my truck too much to sacrafice an o/d. the th400 is great i agree... but no o/d is lame. 55mph at 3000rpm? useless. you cant even comfortably cruise the highway at 70mph...

even if i ONLY drove to cruise nights and to the track, i cannot imagine cruising 4000rpm down the highway for an extended period of time. dont understand why everyone likes it.

3000 at 55? yeah... if your running like a 4.56 gear.

3.73 or 4.10 with a 28" tire your at 3000rpm @ 65. which is more than reasonable if you ask me.

hell, people did it everyday back in the 70s... everything was a 1:1 final drive trans ratio with little baby tires... imagine those things SCREAMING down the interstates.
